I love making personalized materials for my students, whether it be arrangements of songs from your favorite show or video-game, or transcriptions of great guitar parts you've always wanted to learn.
I always try to be patient and my goal is always that you walk away with something new to work on, feeling empowered and able to work on it. If I can successfully progress a student according to their skill level and needs, then I feel I have made a difference!
I always feel like when I am teaching, I am getting a rare chance to hone what I know, by learning the best ways to teach it. Every person has a different way of learning and understanding the world, and by seeing what I know through their eyes, I can see the topic from a new perspective and become more proficient.
I also enjoy seeing my students and progress and i most value being able to pass on the gift of music that I have been given through the music I've studied/played/made and the teachers I have worked with.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always like to ask what a students interests are, then I assess the students strengths and weaknesses by hearning them play the last thing they got to work on or their favorite thing to play, then any current technique exercises they use.
From there, I go through a number of exercises witht he student and then we look at any issues involved with current piece. If there are no issues there, we will look at a new piece or song and I will teach the beginning of this.
After the lesson is finished, you will recieve tab/sheet music for the most effective exercises we worked on in the lesson, as well as any tab/sheet music for the song we worked on if you don't already have it.
