I highly recommend Mike as a guitar instructor. Ive been learning with him for the past 4 months. Hes an excellent teacher. Mike also helped me to purchase my guitar and he helped set it up so I could play it easily. He also fix broken guitars. Hes a very patient teacher. I started without any experience and I could see him getting excited more than me when I learn new chords. Hes also very flexible with his timings.

Mickey has truly been a godsend in the world of guitar lessons. Coming from experience in lessons at a more commercial place (Guitar Center), I can say without hesitation how vastly different & preferable the experience with Mickey has been for the past several weeks since starting. He has shown me the importance of a strong foundation & building from there. The basics have been fun (albeit challenging) & eye-opening from finger-picking, to strumming, to basic exercises that train your fingers & strengthen your hands. Because of his keen eye, he can easily see what troubles I may be having and how to remedy them, making my experience with the guitar much more organic, and much less like Im fighting against it. Within the first month he even showed me the process of restringing my guitar! There is an unmistakable depth to Mickeys knowledge and love for guitar & teaching. He is astonishingly patient & gentle, pacing my progress out in a manageable manner. My experience has been so enjoyable that my husband started lessons, too! I feel very lucky to have randomly stumbled upon him on lessons.com and would recommend him to anyone.
