Frequently asked questions

My teaching process consists of step by step instructions based on each individual student. Every student learns at their own pace. My goal is to create a positive, comfortable and fun atmosphere that motivates each student. It is important for me the instructor to have patience while creating a curriculum tailored to each of my students particular skillset. I create fingering and hand exercises as well as customized written diagrams to assure the intended results . In addition to the guitar lessons, I also personally make sure that my students instrument is set up correctly assuring maximum results at no extra charge to the student.

I am a self taught musician with over 45 years of professional  touring experience. I have performed and recorded with world renowned artist of various genres ranging from blues, R&B, funk, jazz, gospel, pop, big band, etc. I was awarded a full scholarship based on my guitar abilities to attend the Berklee School of Music.

My lessons are $25 per 1/2 hr.

Whenever people saw me playing, they would approach me and compliment me and eventually ask if I could teach them to play. Before long, I had regular students whom I taught throughout my musical career.

I've had students of various ages, nationalities.

I was in a local music store and encountered a young man in his teens who played the ukelele, sax, bass guitar and keyboards. I was amazed at his desire and love for music. I asked him if he would play his ukelele for me and he did. It was very inspiring. We talked awhile about music and his aspiration to further his musical passion. Then he picked up a  bass guitar and I grabbed an acoustic guitar and I showed him a pattern of a song from one of the bands I use to play for. We played for awhile and it was fulfilling to see the joy on his face.

Engage the instructor in conversation about his or her background. Make sure the teacher is patient. Have them to give examples of what to expect during the course. Ask questions. No question is irrelevant.
