What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each new student is first taught safety.
How to train safely and be aware of your training partners safety as well.
We make sure each student has a full grasp of fundamentals early on during classes. You won't be left alone to struggle with techniques but will get personal traininformation to ensure your development.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching BJJ in the area since 1998.
The same year I held the first tournament in Northern Indiana. I'm a certified first degree black belt under Ricardo Rey Diogo of Carlson Gracie lineage.
What types of students have you worked with?
I will work with all students all levels of experience, age and physical fitness.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My only advice to those who are interior training bjj is to always check your potential instructors credentials. See where they've trained, who've they've trained with and their rank.
