About
My teaching approach:
I believe the best approach is to learn as many different styles as possible. I encourage all of my students to study and understand the instrument. We learn chords and scales how to incorporate the two in order to make different kinds of music. I have twenty-five years of experience playing lead guitar in several local original bands. I have been teaching guitar at Mr Music for the last nine years and have been teaching a guitar class through the Parks and Recreation Department as well.

I am available at Mr Music Studios all mainly in the afternoon generally, from 3:30 to 7:00.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
I would ensure proper fit to the instrument and posturing. For very young students I will check hand strength and ability to fret a note and produce a clean tone. If they have had some time already playing I ask them to show me what they can do. Play a song or show me the chords they know. I would try to get an understanding of what the individuals goals may be too. I would base subsequent lessons on what the student demonstrates knowledge of.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
Usually these take shape as to what are we doing today to advance our ability and knowledge of the instrument. We may learn a new song. We may learn a new chord or scale that belongs to that song. We could do a bit of sight reading and then do a bit of jamming. It just depends on you.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
A student that can make it to their lesson consistently every week and practices regularly. These students advance faster than those who do not
