I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others. With any musical instrument, it helps a student to watch and ask questions. Fundamentals can easily be picked up from books or websites but I feel it's important to have coaching sessions as well for the individual.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Brief phone interview to ascertain student's prior knowledge of the instrument and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years of studying music theory and application. Transcribing songs accurately from recordings has always been a forte of mine.
How did you get started teaching?
Started out learning from older kids as a beginner and as I progressed I started showing my peers how to play.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with disabled, elderly, young and professional working students. Written parts for live performance with full bands, including a local High School Marching Drum Line.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
