My teaching approach:
I have 35 years of professional performance on stage and in studio, and I'm a 2005 inductee into the Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame. I believe in sound fundamentals, but also believe in applying theory in real time to jazz tunes. I teach how to play solo chord melody versions of standards, and work with students on how to approach improvising on changes.
