My teaching approach:
As a teacher, I don’t believe in forcing kids through method books and programs. Instead I try to teach them the songs they want to learn. I remember being 12 years old and really wanting to learn to play guitar and not trudge through “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” I believe in helping my students build curiosity and that curiosity will breed the passion necessary to progress as a student and a musician. These days I’ve been studying Troy Stetina’s lead guitar program, helping lead worship at local churches and playing in the pop/blues band Rookwood with my wife Krista.My influences are:
