What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I figure out where the student currently is in their musical and playing ability. For guitar students, we will work mostly with tabs, for all other instruments, we'll use regular staff music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took private lessons all through middle school and highschool. I've won many awards at the district and state solo and ensemble festivals. I toured with Phantom Regiment in 2008, playing contra for them. In college I studied piano with Kathleen Ericson and bass guitar with Larry Prentiss who had played with Anita Baker. I also studied guitar with Johnny Lawrence.
