My teaching approach: I enjoy making learning guitar fun! My influences are: Christianity, Prince, John Mayer and Larry Carlton My lessons take place in: The teacher's studio or the student's home Lessons with me take place in the following areas: Baton Rouge and surrounding areas Techniques: Guidance In Equipment Selection, Recording and Production, Songwriting, Scales and Exercises, Music Theory, Reading Music, Jamming Skills, Improvisation, Performance. Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following: Interview to assess student's music knowledge. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: Lessons are individualized and structured to teach students based on their level with the focus on the student's music aspirations. The qualities I look for in an ideal student include the following: The qualities of my ideal student can be summed up into one thing: Have the desire to learn!
I enjoy passing key information to my students that helped me learn music. Music is a great tool that can uplift people and move them to do great things.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess their playing abilities and knowledge they know and create a customized lesson plan for them to achieve their desired goals in music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) and have learned music from Southern University, Southeastern University, Louisiana State University, Zeagler's Music Store, BeBop Music Store and self-taught.

Lessons can be paid individually ($29) per lesson, monthly ($115) or every 2 months ($230).
How did you get started teaching?
My music school insisted I teach music.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach all levels (from beginners to professionals).

I still perform, which is a joy and a blessing, in addition to writing, recording and producing music, professionally.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet with the teacher first, (which would be considered an interview or orientation) and ask questions to see if you would be compatible with the teacher.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Simply, find out what are the goals you want to achieve in music and ask the teacher what would be needed to know to achieve those goals. How much practice time is recommended? What instrument is needed? What books are needed?
