About
I enjoy teaching any style of music that most interests my students. My goal is to cultivate a unique love for music in each student. I have a Bachelors in classical guitar and a Masters in jazz guitar performance and have been teaching lessons for almost 8 years. I accept students of all ages and skill levels.

I am excited to get out of bed every day and learn something new about music. I love sharing about what I've learned and discovered; and I love learning and discovering new things from other musicians.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what they love and start there. Technique, music theory, and other musical skills are important, but I try to use the interests of my students to fuel the direction of their musical growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Classical Guitar and a masters degree in Jazz Studies (jazz guitar).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I charge $25 for half hour and $45 for an hour. If I need to travel to my students house then there is a $5 gas/travel charge as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching music when while persuing my undergraduate degree in music for a local studio in 2009.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages 5 years old and up. As well as all skill levels: beginners to music majors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy live music. I perform twice at least twice a week at a restuarant in Metairie, as well as in the french quarter. You will either find me performing or listening to jazz music as often as possible!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Never lose your love for the instrument. Whether your love for music fuels you to play professionally or just for fun - make sure it is always fun!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What kind of music do you like to listen to? What inspired you to want to play or more deeply learn the guitar?
