After learning guitar for a few years by myself, I picked up a few bad habits. Luckily theres guys like Sid to get us back on track. He has helped me tremendously in developing strong fundamentals while still keeping learning fun and interesting. Our lessons can be as simple as plucking a string to as complex as building chord shapes around a given key. Sids great at what he does and will get your playing to the next level, even if you just want to learn a few songs.

Sid came highly recommended to us while conversing with someone that my daughter was interested in guitar lessons but did not make the age range requirement for some companies we checked into. Our daughter now has a deep appreciation for music and we enjoyed seeing her grow in learning. He truly cares about teaching songs that are relevant and ones she loves. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I' ll first assess their guitar and make sure it will be easy to play. If they are a complete beginner I ll go over the parts of the guitar and how to hold it. You'll learn the strings and frets, how to hold the pick, play notes and start a song.
If a student can already play, I ll ask them to play for a few seconds to see how they're hands are moving. Then I'll make some suggestions in what direction we should go to learn how to play their favorite songs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 4 decades of stage and studio experience playing all styles of music. Always learning new playing and teaching ideas to keep improving every year. I've done lessons with many great players, some famous players at that. That s definitely not cheap but worth it! Lol
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
30 minute lessons are $32.50 per lesson.
60 minute lessons are $65 per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I was already a pro player and would show people different things and they learned what I showed them pretty easily. I realized I could help a lot of people that struggle to learn guitar with the systems and methods I ve developed over the years.
What types of students have you worked with?
From Beginner to Intermediate to Advanced to PRO. I ve also worked with Autistic kids and have taught several students 80 and above.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Always fond of my recitals. I do 2 a year. Helping students prepare their physical playing and preparing them for the mental mindset of performing. It 's a fantastic experience every time!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Whenever I hire someone myself I look at reviews. Even if it's a Doctor. I believe reviews speak volumes.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Try to give the teacher an idea of where you are. Complete beginner....or you can play. Where do you want to go musically?
