Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have new students come in for a free introductory lesson. From there, we figure out the best course of action to getting them to play the music that they love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration of Jazz Studies on Guitar from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
I am an actively performing musician performing through out South Louisiana. I have also been hired by bands in other parts of the country to tour as their guitarist.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching after a few friends asked me to teach them. In the process of teaching them, I found that I truly enjoyed teaching and seeing my friends become really good at the guitar. I have since made a point to teach any student that comes to me and wants to learn how to play guitar.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of various ages (from 5 years old to their mid-fifties) and experience levels. I can teach several styles of playing. Contact me to find out if I would be a good fit for your goals.
