My unique experience as a polyglot, foreign language teacher, composer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, singer, meditation teacher, GMB personal trainer and martial arts instructor informs my pedagogical practice as an instructor and educator.
Due to these experiences, I implement a holistic approach to instruction that results in a richer learning experience for everyone involved.
Music
I'm a classically trained guitarist, pianist, and singer. I also compose and produce both acoustic and electronic music. I have a BFA and MA in Music Compositon. I received 3rd place in the New Orleans International Guitar Competition. I also produce and release music professionally.
Languages
I am polyglot who also teaches foreign languages to non-native speakers. My experience in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese allows me to anticipate potential difficulties language learners may have and my comfort in each of those languages allows me to clearly articulate and explain difficult concepts.
Fitness/Martial Arts
I am a certified GMB Fitness personal trainer. I also train extensively in several martial arts, including karate, judo, Brazilian ju-jitsu, and aikido.
The Result
My teaching style always adapts to the students goals and needs. I'll help you get to where you want to go quickly and all while having fun. I also bring learning materials to the student free of charge and I'm really good at helping students overcome their challenges.
I am passionate about finding unique solutions for unique individuals. Helping people reach their goals while enjoying the journey is an important part of the way I teach.
Whether I am teaching music, movement, or meditation, I know that people benefit from holistic approaches that support them in achieving their goals!

I have been studying classical guitar with Amine for a short while and he has already corrected a problem I had holding tension in my left hand. He spots and gently corrects bad habits or incorrect positioning with a thorough and succinct explanation for the correction. Instead of telling me what to play when I make a mistake, he asks questions to guide my thought process so I can work independently. As a music teacher myself of nearly 33 years, I feel very fortunate that Amine is my teacher. He is one of those rare people that makes you feel at ease while learning something new, as if I have known him my whole life. I look forward to many more lessons with Amine as I develop my skills and musicianship on guitar.
Amine Belkhouche has been training martial arts with my father and I since he was a child, and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was always physically talented, but more importantly he has a wonderful disposition, and great attitude while training in a class as well as teaching his knowledge to others. More recently Amine, has become an instructor of Karate for the New Orleans Shotokan Academy, in which he teaches six kids classes per week. He is very innovative, and is able to bridge the knowledge of martial arts together with fun and exciting activities, in order to make training more interactive and fun. The skills he has acquired from his years as a professional soccer player, his passion for music, and his martial arts training, complement his training in GMB, in which he focuses on correct body movements that translate into any physical activity.
Amine is encouraging, insightful, and knowledgeable. He listens to me carefully and adapts his lessons accordingly. I am getting stronger and more mobile as a result. I can see the knock-on effect in my other physical activities. He really understands what he is teaching and I am the lucky beneficiary!
Delighted to have found Amine to help me achieve my goals of writing and producing my own songs. In three months, I have completed more songs with Amine, than I have in 2 years on my own. While Amines impressive academic achievements in make him a goldmine of information about creating rhythms harmony’s and melodies, it is his emotional intelligence and how he communicates ideas that is unique and helped me develop rapidly. As a 40 year old former banker, I am on track to produce my first album in 2020 and the possibility of a new career as a songwriter is now very real.
