About
My songwriting class will give any one from a composer to a brand new student. I have advanced theory and song writing abilities. If you are new student of music, you should condsider starting with songwriting and song deconstruction as a way to compel your desire to acquire discipline in your arena. You will start connecting what youre learning with what you've heard. I'll teach you to balance originality and creativity, and to balance discipline and desire.
I love to offer music lessons which encourage the student. I had too many detrimental negative guitar/music teachers with bland lesson plans which did not connect learning chords with songs I knew. Too often music lessons kill the spark needed to keep going.
I teach music theory at all levels. It sounds hard but it's not.
I teach lyric and poetry writing. I can teach you to kill writer's block, count meter, and use classical forms. You will then know how to break the rules.
I believe the process of learning to deconstruct songs and to write them is the ultimate way to develop as an artist is my hope to help students on their musical adventure time. I can at which ever level they are on except really really advanced. Why would take lessons though? Teach me.

A) Minor Music theory to accelerate writing original music.
B) Writing Arrangement Charts:

B.3) First assignment: decide three songs you don’t mind listening to over and over for a month. Composition Chord and voicing/orchestration.
C) Learn the Language of Musicians, Producers and Studio Engineers so you can convey your vision for a production.
D) Techniques to battle performance anxiety and shyness.
E) Recording Software Ableton Preferably, because I have it.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associate degree equivalent in Audio Engineering which required me to take three years of Music Theory, Take Studio Orchestration and study pop music forms and expression. I have a recording, songwriting, and music theory/arrangement background. I have extensive poetry and lyric writing knowledge as well.
