About
Chase Ludeau, a native to Lafayette, LA has been playing the piano and singing for over twenty years. He holds two bachelor degrees from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in classical piano performance and pedagogy, with minor areas of study in vocal performance and dance. He is also a certified piano teacher through the Music Teacher’s National Association. As an eclectic and diverse musician, Chase regularly accompanies himself vocally in a variety of styles as well as performs with classical chamber groups, choirs, jazz ensembles, and many soloists. With a huge passion for the stage Chase has musically directed several shows, some of those titles include: Singin’ in the Rain, Mary Poppins, The Taffetas, Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. Away from the stage, Chase also has many years of experience in religious and sacred music. Although he has had a wide range of exposure to many different denominations, Chase is currently the music director of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Metairie. At St. Augustine’s Church he directs, accompanies, and cantors for both the adult choir and children’s choir. Presently, Chase resides in New Orleans where he plans to expand and develop his career as a performing artist, music director, and instructor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with new students is fun and exciting! Beginning a new adventure brings so many questions and sparks so much interest, but I always begin by laying down a solid foundation and that entails starting with the basics. Some of my most favorite lessons have been with beginning students at their first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a double bachelors degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in classical piano pedagogy and classical piano performance. I also have minor areas of study that focus on vocal performance and dance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For lessons given in my studio, the tuition is as follows: $40.00 for 30 minutes, $50.00 for 45 minutes, and $60.00 for 60 minutes.
For lessons where I travel to the student's home, the tuition is as follows: $45.00 for 30 minutes, $55.00 for 45 minutes, and $65.00 for 60 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for teaching. My inspiration comes from conveying simple and concise solutions to complex ideas and/or problems.
What types of students have you worked with?
With having taught over decade, the variety of my students has ranged from the age of 3 to 85! I have taught young and older beginners, to very advanced students. Whether you're a beginner looking to get started with music, or you have years of experience; working with me you'll be inspired, encourage, and confident in your practice.
