To Whom it may concern,
It is my absolute pleasure to write a letter on behalf of Ed Perry. I am the parent of a quiet and shy son and Ed has brought out the absolute best in him while playing on his basketball team. Ed truly cares about the players and is always going above and beyond for them. Ed sends out timely and clear communication regarding games and practices and when I have a question, he gets back to me same day always.
Ed also has a great repour with the kids. He treats them all with respect and it comes back to him tenfold. The players want to stay on his team even when other teams come calling for them. Us parents speak about this frequently in the bleachers and we all agree that playing for him has been a blessing.
I cant say enough about how Ed has cheered on my son and had complete faith in him even when he did not have faith in himself. Ed is kind and fair, he is great with the kids when they lose and models great sportsmanship when they win.
My family will always be grateful to Ed for what he has done for our son and the rest of the kids.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions or would like any additional information.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meeting the player at the level they are currently then agree upon a destination that is achievable for the player and instructor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played coached officiated the game of Basketball , since I was a 10 years old playing organized hoops at the local boys club and now I am 47, time flies by, I have been taught by mentors during a time when basketball was at its peak in popularity, as a student of the game I have had the privilege to play with or against be coached by some of best basketball minds form a young age.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Just any hourly rate of 70 or 120 for multiple students or hours. A two hour session would be 120 for one player- pricing is subject to change depending on company growth or update delays- so please inquire before committing
How did you get started teaching?
As a 17 years old donating my time to the local boys club to give back to a program that I came up in, then couching my boys, AAU , travel, recreational and leagues
What types of students have you worked with?
From all walks of life , older players to refine their game, fix mechanic issues, preparation for a try out, pre season skills and conditioning sessions, to young kids just starting to play,
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Winning the Metro-west 8th grade bouts tournament where there is a wright up about in the community advocate volume 48 number 12 March 25th 2022
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to trust your instincts and never make a decision based on a person appearance- there are ex college players and trend riders that look the part or have an impressive college they played for but know nothing about the skills of the game or nuance, some of the charlatans I am talking about, buy the greatest sneakers and jump suits others played college ball because they are 10 feet tall, so use discernment when choosing, don’t get star struck by first impression or prior play- make sure they have a past they can talk about coaching is completely different then playing- and playing is not always the smartest most skilled player unfortunately
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Whatever question you may have be honest about your needs anyone who stops learning will never achieve the breakthrough players get when ego is left at the door
