About

* Adult beginners looking for a Ukulele teacher with patience

* Private Ukulele lessons. I love to work with children and adult seniors.

Why Uke? Because it's the perfect size and it's FUN. Skills learned in class strengthen musical aptitude and are easily transferable if you choose to pick up another instrument later.

This class introduces kids to the Ukulele in a setting that is fun and relaxed. Depending on age, aptitude & preference, classes may involve singing, movement games, conducting, note reading, and drumming games. Children will strengthen rhythmic skills and pitch recognition as they learn to tune and to sing along with their instrument.

Students learn songs they can play right from the very first class for a feeling of accomplishment.

Uke it up and come play with us!

Music is a fundamental way to experience and share joy! It does not belong to just the "talented" few. We ALL have the capacity to make and share the JOY of music.

I love sharing my passion for music with people of all ages. It's never too late to learn new skills and have fun!

    Frequently asked questions

Every student is treated as an individual and I strive to honor their style of learning.  It's important to keep the classes positive and fun while still meeting learning goals.

I studied at McGill University and the Banff Center for the Arts in Canada. Previously a working professional singer, I have been working in early childhood music for over 10 years.  I am not a Ukulele master but instead use the Uke as a means to teach music skills.  Pulse, counting, ensemble skills, rhythm, and ear training. Depending on the age and aptitude of the student we may include singing, movement, music games and/or learn note reading and fingerpicking in classes.

Kids will learn several chords play a song or two after the very first lesson!

    $38 for a half-hour lesson
