What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to help students learn through what they love. For young children a very good time to learn on the first lesson is "Baby Shark". It gets their fingers moving, helps them navigate on the piano and is fun. For an adult I might use "Stand by me". For an adult guitar student I airways use "The ballad of Hollis Brown". It's important to garner interest and persistence through accessibility and achievement.
