About

My lessons allows students to thrive in the enjoyable teaching environment I create. Not only do the students develop their skills through the professional advice as a flute teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience but I also encourage to show their creativity and their own artistic character by choosing the music that they love.

Nothing makes me happier than being able to teach students and help them become better at playing the flute and understanding the music they are spreading to others. I love helping my students achieve more and iinspiring and stimulating them to become better musicians through regular practice and a sense of independence. My goal has always been to be a facilitator in my students’ journeys to success and hopefully to encourage them to fall in love with the flute just like I did at a very young age.

Super professional and supportive. Having lessons with her for about 4 months, I am able to play higher notes and more complicated tunes. She explains things in a way that I was able to understand. She always asks if I know instead of assuming I already did which made me feel comfortable to ask questions. She is an amazing teacher with a great sense of humor.

Klodina is first of all a dedicated and active practitioner in her field, constantly improving her own musical skills. This serves as a strong foundation for teaching students and keeping an eye out for opportunities for them to expand their involvement and seeing what the progression of their skills can ultimately lead to. She is also extremely patient and dedicated to her students, pushing them towards perfection in a nurturing and positive way that makes them want to learn. The recitals are well put together and gives students the opportunity for duos, trios and beyond, simulating a real world orchestral environment, not to mention providing a real treat to family and friends of the students. My daughter has been with Klodina for flute since she was 9 years old and now at 14 she is still as enthusiastic as ever. I think this unique skill will be essential to opening up opportunities for her in college and in life where differentiation amongst peers is crucial. Thank you Klodina for your dedication and commitment.

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) in Flute Performance - University of Prishtina, Prishtina, Kosovo

I first taught part-time Flute, Piano and Solfeggio at music schools while I was in college. After I finished my Bachelor's degree in flute performance, I taught full-time at Lorec Antoni music school. At the same time I was the principal flute at the City Symphonic Orchestra - Modus, where I played as an orchestra member as well as a soloist. I also taught private flute and piano lessons to beginner and advanced students.

In 2003 my family and I moved to Africa, Zambia specifically, were I continued teaching private flute lessons. I was very involved with the Lusaka music community, were I performed every month as a soloist as well as part of the chamber orchestra. After four years I moved to Uganda, were I continued my journey teaching and performing. In Kampala I started working part time as an assistant music teacher and flute teacher at the International School of Uganda. At the same time I started teaching flute at the Africa Institute of Music, were I was the Head of the Woodwind Department. I played as principal flute at the Kampala Philharmonic Orchestra with local as well as well-known conductors from the UK. I also held fundraising concerts for a local music school.

I teach all levels, beginer, intermadiet, advanced and all ages.

Currently, I teach and perform as a freelancer in the Baltimore and DC area. I teach at my studio and online. I am an active flutist as I perform with the BPO on a regular basis and other orchestras in the area.
