I have a passion for teaching piano. I love learning how each person learns best. I don’t care what style of music you want to play I will include it. I teach all styles and I want to have fun so we all enjoy each lesson. I have been teaching over 40 years and I still love doing this.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use several method books, and that has to do with the ability and personal interest. After getting through the beginning of reading I add several books depending on the student/ or parents interest. It can be classical, pop, Christian, jazz, broadway, or what you want. I have even used Chinese music. A lot of young ones want to play the music of video games, Harry Potter. You get the idea. If you don't like the music, it's had to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in music in college at the University of Maryland. I have been playing and performing from the time I was 6. I love teaching. I have been teaching for also 50 Years. I'm interested in how people learn. I want a student to learn to read music which opens a new world to them.
