Oh Piano Lessons
About
With over 5 years of teaching experience, my goals are to help students achieve their highest potential in what they want to do. Everyone has different goals and learning styles and as a teacher, I am here to accommodate these factors when planning your lessons. I love working with students of all ages and levels and specialize in classical music. I cant wait to meet you and turn these lessons into an exciting time of learning and music making!
* I am also able to teach basic theory.
My passion for teaching has grown throughout my experiences working with students. There is nothing better and more rewarding than to pass on all the knowledge and skills I have acquired to others and see those students progress. Teaching is also a field in which I am constantly interacting with new faces and although the same repertoire may be taught multiple times, the personalities of each individual bring new experiences and challenges. As a result, teaching never gets dull or boring but fun and exciting.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is typically in the format of an interview. This is an opportunity for the teacher to get to know the students and their parents and to find out about the student's background and if they have any set goals in mind. It is also an oppportunity for the student and parent(s) to ask any questions they may have for the teacher and get to know the teacher's teaching techniques. Together we will explore the different parts of the piano so that the student can be familiarized with what type of instrument he/she will be dealing with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from University of Toronto
Master of Music in Piano and Pedagogy from Peabody Conservatory
Graduate Performance Diploma from Peabody Conservatory
