These mentorship consultations are designed for serious musicians of all instruments who are looking for guidance, structure, artistic growth, and a deeper understanding of how to practice and apply jazz concepts in real musical situations. While piano is often used to demonstrate concepts, the principles taught are applicable to all musicians and styles of contemporary music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I give a free consultation to assess the potential student's skill level and to see if I am the best teacher to serve them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music. I performed and toured with the Army Jazz Ambassadors, the official touring band of the Army, for 20 years
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For individual lessons $100 an hour/$50 for 30 minutes. I also offer packages at discounted rates.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at a summer music camp when I was a student in college. Years later, I started my own business teaching piano lessons out of my home.

Mostly high school students that wanted to pursue music as a career.
