Miss Amie Piano

My main focus is making sure students have fun while learning music and piano. I build a strong rapport with students so they enjoy and look forward to lessons. With that being said, I was classically trained and emphasize note-reading and theory, while incorporating ear training, improv and composing. I use the Piano Adventures method books along with Schaum and other complementary books, worksheets fun books (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Disney, etc.)

I am very fortunate in that I like my job and have strong relationships with my students and their families. I most enjoy seeing students grow to have an internal joy with music and those "aha" moments when things start to come together or they cross the obstacle bridge with some concept. The best thing is when students enjoy their lessons with me and realize music (and lessons/practice) can be fun and worthwhile.
