About
I have been performing as a professional classical guitarist for over 30 years. I have at least 15 years of experience teaching guitar, including teaching at Dale Music Co. and Montgomery College Music Department as an adjunct guitar instructor. I am currently on the faculty of the Maryland Music Academy in Columbia, Maryland and B & B Music, Washington, D.C. I started guitar lessons when I was 8 years old, and have studied with a few well known concert guitarists. I have performed in master classes with internationally recognized guitarists, have given solo guitar recitals in several concert halls, as well as performed in international guitar festivals. I have made several guitar transcriptions, and have released three CDs of solo guitar music. I enjoy and highly value the opportunity to help students reach their musical goals, whatever those may be. I try to make the lessons both interesting and fun. I emphasize good technique and music reading skills, as well as the fundamentals of music theory.
