About
I've been teaching for 15 years and it has been my goal to edutain my students, and have seen real results. My patience (gained from working in NYC schools mostly) has given my students the space they need to create and the stability they need to excel.
I get to share my favorite thing in the world with a whole new generation. I love working through the difficult times and seeing the positive results. Exposing students to music outside of their wheelhouse. Show them there so many opportunities out there when music is a part of your life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet a student at their level, literally! Making music accessible and fun is the main goal. It has to be engaging and adaptable. Every student is different so my approach will be different with every student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taught music for over 15 years and have taught in NYC public schools and privately in homes. As this pandemic rages on, I've been able to not only hold my students attention but actually see some real progress, even though I can't be there in person. I graduated from SUNY Purchase in 2008 with a degree in music composition, which has come in handy when creating arrangements for different learning styles. I also studied child psychopathology, making my teaching style productive and empathetic.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I encourage to start with 30min lessons at $50. But I do give 20min lessons for $40 for younger students or students whose schedules are hectic. For lessons canceled on the day, I only charge for the lesson if a reschedule can not happen.
How did you get started teaching?
My father owns a music store and I grew up around music my whole life!
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages as young as 2 and as young as 76!
I excel with students with learning disabilities and behavioral issues. I love giving my students space to create but enough discipline to encourage consistency.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love performing with my family. My brother suffered a traumatic brain injury back in 2008 and has left part of his body immovable. But he can still sing and play music. We recently performed a livestream together on FB and had a great time sharing it with friends from all over.
