About
Zion is a calm space open for anyone seeking a mindful life. Zion provides education about yoga, meditation and goal setting. The tools learned at Zion allow you to uncover a better version of yourself in order to serve your community.
I truly enjoy being able to guide others on this path. I love seeing someone take away peace and calm after one of my classes. I hope that the peace and calm created in my space is taken away and used to do good in this world.
I have personally used yoga and meditation to heal myself and enjoy seeing others experience this healing as well.
There are so many physical benefits as well as emotional ones. I like teaching to a room full of people who have gone through many different experiences, and have all different experience levels, yet being able to speak to everyone at once.

I suggest new students with questions or concerns to contact me directly before attending group classes. I can then guide you in the right direction as far as what classes to attend or suggest a possible private session. How did you get started teaching?
While attending college at Michigan State University I was a personal trainer for 2 years at Iron Fitness in Lansing, MI. Here I guided clients through work outs and stretching routines in order to guide towards specific goals and progress. I started to explore different types of exercise after a few Rugby injuries in college. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for 10 + years . My wife became a yoga instructor 5 years ago and we made our way into a yoga community studying under Ita Reyes. I completed my teacher training in 2016 after becoming inspired to teach and guide others. I have been teaching yoga since then in group and private settings. Sharing this light with others is truly my passion.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all walks of life. The majority of my students are between the ages of 18 and 60. I am comfortable working with all levels of ability in group or private settings.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In September 2017 I married my life partner and wife Aubrey. It was easily the best day of my life and an unforgettable day. We got married in a forest located on my grandparents property. This day was full of peace and love and definatley my most fond recent event.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest students to find someone who they can relate to on a very basic level. In my classes I am teaching from human to human. We all experience similar emotions and experiences and we can all share the same healing path. All classes I teach are aimed towards creating a level of calm and peace even challenging classes. I hope that you enjoy my voice and message.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Please know that not all instructors are equipt to help your specific needs so be sure to consult with a doctor if you have any health concerns that you may think would affect your ability to attend and complete a class. Safety and peace in our space is our number one concern.
