I love spreading my love of yoga. Having thirty years of teaching yoga experience, and the sensitivity of observing the ability of the students, I can make a class to fit their abilities. Also having spent my life serving the public as a firefighter and paramedic, I can be trusted to be a professional instructor. I completed my teacher training and am registered as an experienced yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. Also I am a active member of YAGD.org, a local yoga teacher's group since 2001. I teach at the Livonia Recreation Center and the Livonia YMCA. Now I am giving private or semi-private classes to people who want more individual attention than can be given in a group class. So I drive to your house if you have a quite space .
I like the peacefulness and physical challenge of stretching while respecting your limits. You feel more alive during and after your practice. Many health benefits come from yoga. I enjoy the personal connection with people of similar interests.

Charles takes the time necessary to help with poses (especially new yoga students like me). He is gentle and kind, and did not make me feel bad if I struggled with a pose until I was able to get it.

I taught 8 years for Integral Yoga in Detroit. Then I worked at some yoga studios such as Livonia Yoga Center from 2010 to 2014. I taught beginner classes mostly. I can also do healthy backs yoga, vinyasa flowing class, and more challenging poses when you are ready. I can also teach breathing exercises, and meditation.
All ages from kids to seniors. Mostly middle aged women are my average student. I have had some students who have been with my classes for the last six years
Safety is important in yoga, so listen to your body and how far it wants to stretch without pain. Go slow and breath. Some teachers will push students to go through pain, but I feel that is not good.
If you have any injuries that might cause a problem, tell the teacher. You could call them just to see if you are a good fit with each other. Tell them how much exercise you are allready doing regularly. ( Biking, walking, weights, ect)
