Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We get to know our students a bit and match them to one of our teachers that will be a good fit for our families. It's fun to see students/families and teachers get to know each other and develop friendships that help lessons be more effective and help students go further faster.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers are degreed and experienced in multiple disciplines over many years and have worked with students of all ages. Most of us are professional musicians playing in a variety of venues, bands, shows, and studios
How did you get started teaching?
I was seeing people from all walks of life, and all ages quitting music, or even worse -suffering through it without any passion effectively ruining their original desires and dreams. Music has, and will continue to change the world. I want everyone to be able to have a part in, and bring their own unique voice to it.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students and families from all walks of life and all ages. From newborns to retirees we have a track record of building relationships with our clients that last.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We're in a new time and new culture when it comes to students falling in love with music. Many of the ways we've traditionally learned mum simply doesn't work anymore. It's important to understand this while searching for a good fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
We work with students and families from all walks of life and all ages. From newborns to retirees we have a track record of building relationships with our clients that last. We've worked with all levels of students at all ages, from 5 year old beginners to accomplished veterans. We also have experience with and specialize in students on the Autism and Aspergers spectrums. Our teachers are experienced, talented, professional, and flexible.
