I'm a classically trained guitarist with exstensive experience performing and teaching. I teach people of all ages to play guitar and learn to read/write music.
My goal is to help you reach your goals as a musician wether you're just starting or are having trouble overcoming certain challenges. You have full control of the pace and material of your lessons, my job is simply to use my knowledge and experience to guide you on your personal journey.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student wants to learn classical guitar, I teach out of the Aaron Shearer method book. Otherwise I work from what the student is interested in learning and teach I feel will help them acomplish their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance from Middle Tenneseee State University.
-Several years teaching experience

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my first student in my second year of college. The parent recommended me to other parents in the area and I eventually got a job teaching a guitar class for high school age students. As I've traveled for school I've maintained a number of students of many different ages.

I've had students of all a wide array of ages and backgrounds.
