What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know them personally, assessing their musical knowedge and skill, learning their musical interests and goals, then assembling a strategy, including choice of materials, to move them along the intended path.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over a dozen years of private piano lessons, several music courses in college, work in customer support and training, consulting work across several businesses, personal continuing education thru reading and listening to various artists a and music genres.

At my house, $25/half-hour lesson. At a student's house in my area, $30. Further out, $35 and up.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend (graduate of The New England Conservatory Of Music) owned a music teaching business in Brookline, MA and hired me to taech a boy on the harmonica. This was in 1969.
What types of students have you worked with?
Four year olds thru ninety-two year olds, including students with a variety of medical conditions.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who knows their subject thoroughly and with whom you are comfortable working.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What they want to achieve, how willing they are to commit to the practice between lessons, how often they would like to have lessons, special music interests.
