I make learning the piano, studying composition and music theory fun and interesting. I teach all levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced students. I teach both children and adults. I have been teaching music privately since 1967. I am a former lecturer at Brooklyn College where I taught Fundamentals of Music, Electronic Music and Piano. As a composer I have been awarded the ASCAPlus Award 14 times and I was one of the youngest winners of the BMI Student Composers Awards. I have performed publicly at Alice Tully Hall and many other distinguished concert venues.
I enjoy most the pleasure of bringing music into the lives of my students.

I liked having David for a teacher! I was only able to study with him for a few weeks but I was very impressed! He was willing to travel to my home and he charged me a very reasonable fee!
My typical process when working with a new student is to get to know the student and form a bond of familiarity and fun.
I have excellent credentials! I am an honors graduate of Princeton where I was an undergraduate in the music department. I did graduate work at Brandeis University and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree.
