About
I can guide you from being a beginner to becoming a confident performer—or even a songwriter. Every session is personally led by me, creating a strong, lasting connection. Many of my students stay with me for years and become like extended family.
It’s a true joy to share my love and gift for music, and to watch it blossom in others—like a beautiful musical garden. I have been in business for 20+ years and do everything from guitar to drums to songwriting. What I do isn’t just work; it’s a privilege. I’m honored to have touched so many lives in a positive, meaningful way through music.

Having recently retired, I was looking for a hobby to have fun, keep my mind sharp, and be socially active. I had loved music all my life and decided it was time for music lessons. I was so lucky to have found Brian over at Good Vibrations!
I have been taking guitar with Brian for the last year and look forward to each lesson. Long before the internet was invented, a musician had to listen to the music and hear the notes to learn a song. Now days they try to Google or Youtube it. Brian teaches you how to hear and determine the notes all on your own .
Im not as nimble as I once was so I appreciate Brians patience and most importantly his encouragement!! He helped me pick out and purchase my guitar without spending alot of money. Big plus!
Brian has spent years developing his musical craft, playing in bands, writing songs and he selflessly shares that knowledge.

Really your one stop shop for all things music lessons and learning an instrument. Brians project studio is fully equipped and very welcoming, even for beginners. If you are looking for a relaxed environment to learn music and a phenomenal teacher, this is the place! He is in Wayne, NJ but does virtual lessons also.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first and most important step? Learning to really listen to music and train your ear. Being able to hear chord progressions, root notes, and key changes is a game changer. Why get stuck reading sheet music and tabs (that old “white paper music”) when you can learn to play freely by ear?
Next up is timing and feel. Playing in time isn’t the same as playing in the groove. We’ll focus on locking into the pulse, feeling the rhythm, and connecting with the drums. You’ll get comfortable with different tempos and learn how to count time signatures naturally.
And finally, playing songs. We’ll use your favorite artist, band, or genre as the foundation. That way, you're learning through the music you already love. It's fun, it’s motivating, and it’s the best way to grow as a musician.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a recorded and published professional singer-songwriter and a proud BMI member. Over the past 15 years, I’ve played live gigs, engineered and produced recording sessions for both myself and other artists, and contributed as a multi-instrumentalist—guitar, bass, drums—and as a lead and harmony vocalist.
I’ve co-written songs with artists and publishers to build out a published catalog, and I bring that same creative energy into every session. I started performing at age 12, and with a lifetime of experience in the musical arts, I love helping others find their voice and sound.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates are competitive with standard industry pricing—fair and transparent.
As the saying goes:
“It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot—it simply can’t be done. If you choose the lowest bidder, it’s wise to factor in the risk that comes with it. And if you do that, you might end up paying enough to afford something better in the first place.”
In other words, quality matters and I’m here to give you my best.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend asked if I’d teach his 10-year-old daughter who was interested in learning guitar.
What types of students have you worked with?
My client base range is from 10 years old, up into the 60's. My biggest accomplishment is teaching Special Needs Students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Before the COVID Pandemic, I would produce live music events for Charity. Music Mashups. For info and pictures see my website.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Chemistry is key. Find a teacher that you feel comfortable with. One size does not fit all! That's why my first session is free. This gives the student a good idea of what working with me will be like and if it's a good fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I ready to make a commitment? Am I serious about settings up my goals?
