What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I help the student to learn how to play the guitar so they can play what they like. What ever style is preferred there are basic things that must be learned first. I will help to continue on the path you choose to study.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been playing since 9 years old and was out playing at 10 with a band in my home town. I started out self taught with help from my father who played as well his father. I was later a student of Lou De Maria, and the great Harry Leahey. Studied in NYC at Mannes, " Sounds of Joy" and other private schools.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing varies depending on what age and level of playing, Also distance of the student from my studio.

How did you get started teaching?

I've began teaching while attending classes in music in NYC. And on and off over the years have been asked to teach, so at times continued when not on the road.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages, and genders.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Keep expanding your practice to various avenues of possibilities, and always try things.  But first consider learning fundamentals, as it will make everything else easier and more enjoyable.
