About

Take lessons from an enthusiastic, charismatic violin teacher! My name is Cedrick and I can't wait to meet you!

Violin lessons are a wonderful way to encourage and develop a passion for music from an early age. I've had the opportunity to hold private lessons since 2015 and loved helping my students achieve their true potential and goals. My teaching style is tailored to the needs of my students.

So if you are an adult picking up a new hobby, or a parent looking for a fun new extracurricular activity for your child, these lessons are a great place to get started.

I plan to offer a comfortable, safe learning environment for students of all levels. From someone who never held a violin to those who have years of experience, I look forward working with you.

Cedrick is an amazing teacher! Couldn’t recommend him enough. Cedrick is a well balanced teacher bringing fun positive energy and also constructive instruction. He has a perfect mix of fun/serious when teaching. My 10yo son always looks forward to lessons and has been self motivated to practice. He has improved so much since working with Cedrick and has had opportunities to start performing in school orchestra etc as a result. Cedrick does a phenomenal job of preparing him for concerts and performances from lessons to emotional support and being there to cheer him on! Highly recommend working with Cedrick!

Very good teaching. I am an experienced pianist learning violin, and Cedrick definitely knows how to teach classical violin. His teaching is very supportive and thorough in covering violin fundamental techniques and results in a lot of progress.

    Frequently asked questions

To start, I would want a better understanding of their goals and the reason why they would like to start playing the violin.
I had the opportunity to graduate from Felician University (NJ) with my Bachelor's in Arts - Music. Along with giving lessons, I am constructing a string program locally.
I am very much flexible with the pricing. I am willing to speak further what is reasonable to you. 30 minutes - $50 45 minutes - $70 60 minutes - $90
I found the joy in teaching when I became a camp counselor. I love working with students, motivate and encourage, all in a fun-loving positive environment.
I have the priviledge to work with all walks of life. From students who are just startig out in kindergarden to mature adults picking up the violin for the first time, I have been able to cater to everyone's needs.
This pandemic has presented a unique opportunity for me to build a strings program for my students to take part of. The goal is to have a fully fuctioned strings orchestra.
The advice I would recommend is to find joy in learn a new instrument. The violin, or any intrument, is difficult to learn but having a learn environment that is nurturing and encouraging can help the student's ability to overcome the fear of learn something new. I present that environement for all of my students.
I would suggest to ask about style of teaching, curriculum/method, duration of lessons, innovation in music applications (ex: classical, jazz, bues, pop etc).
