Dani D.

Tj is a highly skilled, professional teacher. Friendly, and welcoming, he works with all skill levels, and is invested in the advancement and success of his students. He has a knack for taking complicated techniques and breaking them down into easier to understand steps for you to train, and before you know it, you’re doing the whole technique! Cannot recommend him highly enough

Frequently asked questions

I tailor every lesson to the student or the class i am teaching.  I always feel you should train at a level that is challenging but not impossible.  That is going to be different for each student.  We use drills that really work to quickly raise your level of proficiency and fitness in a comfortable way.

I have three instructor certifications in Jeet Kune Do Concepts, American Freestyle Karate and Panantukan.  I also have a BA in philosophy and over 20 years of interactive theater experience.  All of these blend into my personal philosophy and what i teach my students.  To me, the martial arts are a way of life and have given me everything that i am.  I love to give that knowledge back to the world.

I keep my classes very affordable.  My online classes are only $5 a month.  Private lessons are $300 for 10 sessions.  I am also willing to work with you if your budget is tight.

I have worked with people from the ages of 3 to 75.  I used to own a school that had about 230 students, about 180 of them were kids between the ages of 4 and 15.

You should find an instructor who makes your training enjoyable.  If you do not enjoy it, you are not going to stick with it and that goes for any exercise program or nutrition program you get involved with.  Also, look to see if the teacher teaches fighting the way it is, or the way they wish it would be.  Do the drills they use and methods apply to real world situations and do you do things live so you can perform the techniques in a situation where a non-compliant attacker is coming after you.
