Canal Music Studios
About
Canal Music Studios is an established music school in the Lambertville/New Hope area. We teach all instruments and all musical styles. Many of our students have graduated and been accepted to Music conservatories such as Juilliard and Berklee College of Music. Originally founded by a classical violinist/pianist and the keyboardist for Lenny Kravitz, the school now has ten teachers that serve the community.
All of our teachers are professional musicians who pursued their careers because of their passion for music. We wish to pass on our knowledge to others and keep music alive in our community.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best advice for a student is to enjoy the process of learning and don’t be discouraged if things don’t come easily right away. All teachers were once students themselves, and we have compassion for the student! We are so happy to share the gift of music with you, and hope it will enrich your life.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The study of music is a very deep and culturally rich field. Initially, a students approach may be to just play the basics, but through continued study you will want to explore different styles. Keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to ask questions!
