Jonas Salk said “Good parents give their children roots and wings. Roots to know where home is, wings to fly away and exercise what’s been taught them.” A good teacher must be part working professional, part guide, part philosopher, part musician, part parent, part friend and part listener to give students roots and wings.

I strive to teach my students, like myself, to never stop learning; to do their best in every endeavor; to stay present and focused in their work. As a working professional, a guide, a philosopher, a musician, a parent, a friend, and a listener, I want my students when they leave a lesson with me to have their roots and wings.
