We take things step by step and, with a whole hour dedicated to just me, I have quick progress overall. I also like how she teaches me sheet music and how I get to play songs that I love. She's very flexible in that respect and has clear-cut rules that are easy to follow. Not to mention she's pleasant to work with.
Elvann's music lessons are very informative and enjoyable. She takes time to explore subjects and gives helpful patient direction.
I've been taught by her weekly for about 6 months so far. She's a very patient teacher and tailors the lessons well to my interests.
Amazingly sweet, great flexibility in her teaching methods. Will completely adapt to the student's ability and musical taste. I've been studying with her for a year now and I always look forward to our classes.
When I start working with a new student, I find it really important to communicate with them what is my philosophy on teachning & learning music.
For instance, one of the most important things for me to teach is music reading skills and basic theory knowledge. I believe learning HOW to learn music is the most important think to allow my students to be as independent as possible, and so their skills transfer from a piece to the next.
Music theory & reading are skills that I think are essential to allow any student to develop their potential to the best of their extend, even if it might be a little bit harder in the beginning. Though, I am also very good at giving tricks to make it easier, and I approach these topics in a very smooth.
When it comes to teaching the harp, the first few lessons are always dedicated to the technique. Reading an theory are pushed away a little bit in order for the student to really get used to the instrument before.
I have a college dregree in classical singing and a Bachelor Degree in Music from the University of Montreal in both classical singing & harp.

I started teaching music when I started college, and shortly after I've started working in a private music school where I would be teaching both piano and singing. Later on, I switched to only giving in-studio & Discord/Skype lessons as a Freelancer
I have worked with a lot of various students over the years, with all ages and from very different music backgrounds. I know how to adapt to my student's needs very well.
