The ancient meditation and yoga that I teach are evidence-based yet traditional practices for healing physical/mental and emotional issues. These practices can help you through transitions, depression, anxiety ... healing PTSD is a specialty with the type of meditation I teach - iRest (Integrative Restoration) that is endorsed by the Army Surgeons General. Asana (postures) are combined with learning how to breath, developing awareness of energy, and moving within safe and painfree boundaries of who you are.
Every day I am thankful for the people with whom I have the honor of working with. To be able to share the meditation and yoga practices and see others open to healing experiences, who they are, their intentions and resolutions never ceases to amaze me. When progress is evident and the student goes deeper and adopts these practice because she/he has discovered a well of good health within, waiting to be tapped or reopened, I am ecstatic!

New students begin by filling out an assessment which I email to them. It is to be returned prior to the lesson so we spend as much time as possible during the first lesson addressing the most important needs. That, I prepare for based on the free assessment prior to the lesson. Each item is reviewed and follow-ups asked as needed. At the very first lesson students learn valuable tools for managing the issues they are facing and moving the body with an aim to achieve their goals, i.e. pain reduction, energy levels, stress, better sleep, mood, digestion, and so forth.
