How did you get started teaching?
When I was still a teenager, I was asked to teach in a Music Conservatory in Brazil. After that, while going to University, I developed a music studio and had many students. Later, after my undergraduate studies, I taught as an Assistant Instructor during my time at Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, during both my Master's and Doctoral degree studies, throughout the 1990's. After concluding my studies I became an Associate Professor between the years 2000 and 2018. Afterwards I took the required academic training to obtain a level 3 license to teach music in the public school system, which I am still doing.
