I studied at the Manhattan School of Music, and have over 25 years of teaching experience. I tailor each lesson to the learning style of the individual student. Music theory, technic, musicality, music history and performance skills are emphasized in each session.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what experience, if any, they have in music, and get to know their personality and learning style before organizing a tailor made curriculum.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a performance major at the Manhattan School of Music in NY, NY. I have taught music at local conservatories and in my home for over 25 years. My other musical endeavors have included directing children's and adult choirs, as well as bell choirs, as well as symphonic and solo work.

I charge $37 per half hour lesson, or $70 for the hour.
How did you get started teaching?
i began teaching while in high school.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students have ranged in age from 4 years to 89 years old. I have also taught children with special needs.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am always pleased to witness a student reach a musical goal. I have had the honor of seeing many of my students make it into honor orchestras, or win competitions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
While the credentials of a prospective teacher are exceedingly important, I believe it is equally important to find someone you are comfortable with.

What are their goals?

How committed are they to reaching their goals?
