How did you get started teaching?
I have been training martial arts my whole life and upon graduating from college with a Doctorate of Pharmacy I knew that teaching was the profession for me. Being an athlete all my life I appreciated the mentorship and life long lessons of sports and martial arts.
I changed my career and have been teaching martial arts for the last 10 years at Bronx Martial Arts Academy running the Shotokan Karate Program and also the Muay Thai Boxing Program.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all levels of students. I've trained students between the ages of 4-35+ in Shotokan Karate. I have also worked with many teens and adults in Boxing & Muay Thai.
I freqently work with students who are beginners and I have also trained amateur fighters in preparation for their matches.
