About
Hey there! I’m Greg, a passionate musician and composer in New York City. I mainly play guitar, but I’m also a multi-instrumentalist, diving into everything from bass guitar to ukulele and oud.
My musical journey started at the Rostov State Conservatory, where I honed my skills in classical guitar and composition. I've had the chance to learn from some amazing professors, and that experience has shaped my approach to music.
I love sharing my passion for music with others! Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, I’ll customize our lessons to fit your goals. Let’s explore the fantastic world of music together—drop me a message, and let’s get started!
Furthermore, all along in my musical career, I am practicing and developing my conducting skills, as well as experience of performing with an orchestra.
I studied conducting, firstly, Krikor D. Hurdayan, professor of the Rostov State conservatory; then, during 2009 I was attending conducting lessons of professor Yury P. Serebryakov at the St. Petersburg conservatory.
In recent 10-12 years I was/have been involved in work with cinema and theater. Thus as a composer I wrote music for a number of movies and dramatic performances. Also as a guitar and bass player, I worked with various experimental and professional music collectives. Since 2001 to 2008 I was playing in Rostov state orchestra of folk instruments “Don”. The range of my musical preferences is quite extensive, so I constantly experiment with existing styles and genres of music trying, for example, to combine folk music with the jazz, electronic music, fate, etc. If I described my works in one phrase, it would be - constant experiment.
On this website you can find and enjoy some fragments of my performances and musical works!
