About
I teach guitar with a different angle. I let the student choose what they want to learn, and we go from there. I have been playing for eleven years and my last gig was performing on a cruise ship. I have my Bachelors of Music from James Madison University. I compose, record, perform, and teach. Guitar is my life and I would love to keep teaching others how to play. I began teaching in University with high school students. I then moved on to beginners while working on a cruise ship. I have experience with all types of guitarists whether it be people who want to improvise or those who want to sing and strum chords.
I enjoy empowering musicians to do what they love. Music can feel like an unattainable subject. I love breaking the boundaries and showing students how easy music can be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process begins with finding what the student wants to achieve. I want my students to feel as if their goals are being accomplished. I will examine each student's ability to play, and their ability to be creative. After this, I will develop short term goals for the students. In time, both mine, and the students goals will become a reality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Bachelors of Music. I have experience in all ensemble sizes. I have taught guitar for four years now, and my performing, and composing skills have helped imensly with teaching.
