Third generation of the famous fifties group "The Platters " play many different instruments and tap dance.I'm able to teach you how to perform on stage with confidence and how to overcome stage fright.We will perform at open mic shows from the very beginning of your lessons.You will learn how to play your favorite songs and perform them.You will learns scales,arpeggios and modes.I will teach you to learn chord shapes and chord progressions.Let's write songs together go to a studio and record.
I always enjoyed music and dance.I taught my friends 100 songs with dance steps and we started a band in the back yard in Florida. We were a threat to the battle of the bands competitions,although the band consist of players with minimal skills.The professionals in the battle of the bands got nervous of our sound and hoped we did not show up.My musical family(The Platters) did five part harmony so I learned the skill of how to play with different barbershop quartet type vocals behind the lead voice.I'm like the character Jack Black in the movie,"School Of Rock."I love music....and Live Bands.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach the student how to play one of their favorite songs if they are able to hold notes....If no....then finger exercises.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied "Music Theory" in College,but I've been playing in a live band for a long time.

How did you get started teaching?
I've started my band by teaching my friends how dance,play and sing.I grew up in a famous Doo-Wop family famous for singing lead tenor to a 5-part harmony group.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The dance of Ballet...Tap Dancing....Dance Roller Skates...On and Off Broadway and the music from the "Pit". I love to remix 50's to the 90's music.A recent event is ..The Lion King....and..... King Kong.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you learn how to express yourself through your instrument.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Can you teach me ear training so I can hear how to play my favorite song and can you motivate me to make my dream come true.
