Mia Nardi-Huffman Violin Studio
About
Hi! As a violin teacher with over a decade of experience, I'm confident teaching everyone from absolute beginners to advanced, pre-conservatory students. I'm a classically-trained violinist with a BM (2014) and MM (2016) in Violin Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and I'm the first violinist for the ASTRAEUS String Quartet as well as the concertmaster for the Emo Orchestra. My students learn from a personalized curriculum that draws from the methodologies of Shinichi Suzuki, Mimi Zweig, and my late mentor, Juilliard violin professor Shirley Givens.
Students of mine can expect:
- A fun, positive learning environment.
- A thoughtful progression of exercises and repertoire for a strong technical foundation.
- Development of musicality through phrasing, listening and singing.
- Ear training and note-reading literacy.
- Consistent practice habits, including a weekly practice log for younger learners.
- Performance experience and on-stage training.
