As the Head Coach and previous Manager of High Exposure Climbing Gym, having Jared work under me as an assistant coach was extremely beneficial for the program. Always engaged, attentive, and sincere in his desire to constantly learn more to be a better coach, he made my job much easier and was a key player in helping me send 9 kids to the National Championships! Jared is a very positive, uplifting person that all of the kids, and myself, loved to be around. Wherever Jared decides to work next, will be receiving a person of infinite potential and aptitude.

I’ve been taking lessons with Jared for a few months, and my playing has already improved! He is patient, and very clear with drills and practice techniques. He makes sure to teach in a way that helps you understand music as a whole, and doesn’t use any shortcuts. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to start out or sharpen their skills!

Frequently asked questions

First, I like to play a few songs with them to gauge the students level and to look for areas that can be improved.  I generally like to teach by learning songs since that is a practical and more fun way to learn about music.

I am currently in my senior year but will be receiving a bachelors degree in Jazz Performance with a focus on guitar.  In addition, I have been playing guitar since I was six years old and have been teaching guitar since I was sixteen.
