Rebecca Rossi's Piano Studio
About
I am comfortable playing in a variety of styles: classical, pop, and jazz. Because of this, I can really taylor each lesson to the particular student, and I try to never be dogmatic in my teaching.
I also have almost 10 years of teaching experience, so I understand that each student is a unique individual who learns in their own way, at their own pace.
I love teaching music because it is truly something that enriches life in many ways. Practicing an instrument helps people learn how to set realistic goals in any area and work towards achieving them. The act of learning music shows us that we have the power to take control of things that are difficult in an abstract way, and to create harmony out of the chaos. I think it's a very positive analogy that can subconsciously shift our thinking in other areas.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask the student a bit about their musical background, musical interests, and musical goals for the future. Then we choose a stylistic direction that they are comfortable with, and get started playing!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to the Eastman School of Music and majored in piano performance.
I now work as a music teacher (piano, guitar, songwriting) and as a music producer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
