I give each student an application that asks about many aspects of their experience as well as their goals from working with me. I explain what they will learn when studying with me, i.e., if studying piano I start technical first with basic music theory and fingering. As far as singing, I also give them technical exercises with breathing, diction and tone as well as find out and eventually extend their range. Overall, each student has their own level and I don't determine a students learning level by anyone else but themselves. I am challenging but the student will learn and enjoy what they learn. 

I went to Professional Performing Arts School for high school. I graduated from Five Towns College with a BA in Vocal Performance and a minor in Composition/Songwriting. I have an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University in Music Business and pursuing an MsEd in Advanced Teaching. I also have been singing and doing music since the age of three. I have been teaching music since 2002. I teach groups and individuals, ages 4 to adult. 

Right now, I believe in working with people's budgets. My main loves are teaching, music and people, especially young people. With that being said, I'm not one to break people's pockets. So to start, each lesson is $ 40 an hour. There's discounts if payment is given monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually. 

I have been teaching since 2002. I was always ask to shoe someone something, not just music, but most subjects. I loved and still love showing people what I know. It brings me joy. I asked myself "Why know all of this information and not share it?". So developing that love for helping people know what I know, I decided to start teaching.

I love teaching kids as well because I started babysitting at age 12. I helped out a daycare at that age and felt that I always wanted to teach children some things that will help develop them in their future. 

I have worked with all types of students; disabled, special needs, blind, and those who have no experience. I have no problems with any type of student. As long as there is a willingness and enthusiasm to learn, I can help you. 

Waking up everyday knowing that I have purpose not only to live for myself, but to live to help and bless others.

I would say make sure you distinguish if this is a past time for you or something you see yourself investing time into. Some people don't know the extent of making a commitment to something until you have someone pushing you to where they know you can achieve. I by no way will force someone to do something they really don't want to do. I'd rather you put your all into what you really want to do than to waste your time and money into something that won't last. I'm not about money; I'm about assiting a student into their goals to reach a result. 

How long will it take to learn certain classes? Can I invest the time into really learning?

Is this something that I want to do 6 months to a year from now? 5 years from now? Just as a past time? If so, specify that to the instructor. As long as the teacher knows your goal for these lessons, we will have a better understanding between each other and the instructor can design a lesson plan according to your needs.
